    Dear Mr. Palash Biswas,

From you articles posted to the group I can imagine that you are much much senoir to me. But today the intial few lines of your article (about Rama) has really depressed me and I really felt ashamed that I read your articles and praised you.

Castesism is the byproduct of the deep human nature of maintaining his dominance. This is what brahmins & other upper castes did. I can be sure that you must be a supporter of castesism based RESERVATION also. I can write pages on what is the current positions of Brahmins compared to other backward classes. Since I am not a writer or journalist so I cant express my view in the way you can do it, but yes I regret what you have written here.

Hinduism has divided people by based on there deeds and not by birth.

Sorry for everything spoken here...but I cant help it, I am hurt and its really bad that very experienced people also pass irresponsible comment about the faith of masses and the most flexible religion in the world..... when they dont even have the full understanding of the religion and the role of religion & its importance in current context and political environment.

Its hurting..Mr Palash..and its hurting painfully because its from you.

    Manish Singh Bisht
Dear friend Mr Bisht and whoever it may concern!
How long would we be surrendering to this Brahminical system and be instrumental to gun down our own brothers and sisters?
While opposing Resrvation and quota, despite their drawbacks and limitation we tend to be trapped by the Super Minority Brahminical Hegmony which feeds us with all those mythological trash and divide us and rule us!
I don`t favour reservationand quota as means of social justice. As I believe this constitutional provision has made Brahminical Hegemony a Permanent Settlement in Indian Polity creating In Laws Class who gets through the system accomdating themselves as they nondeservingly hold higher posts and enslave themselves as promotin a class of creamy layer. This class enjoyuing the previlege of quota nad reservation is never awakened to their duty to return their communities but do identify themselves as neo brahmins. Thus any genuine national Dalit movement is absent in India. The dalit Movementwhatsoever and subaltern studies are limited in personal gains and a limited regional share in Power. It won`t be launching any change in the socil system to ensure the abolishment of the rotten Brahminical System.
I am sorry to hurt you. As I personally feel for you and assume that you also belong to my homeland, somewhere in Uttarakhand. I am not against Brahmins as a caste or community . My GuRu is most revered teacher Tara Chandra Tripathi who taught me to fight Brahminical hegemony which relates to the political system most. As I refer the divided subcontinet and never trace the history from any cut off year, I insist upon that the Brahminical Zionist white supremacy is rather aphenomenon corelated to manusmriti and Zionist Hindu Imperialism post modern Manusmriti. Thus, for me George Bush is also a Brahmin as Buddhadev Bhattacharya or Pranab Mukherjee happen. In the same context, I also insist that the partition victim Bengali Refugees along with the displaced communities within the country even includin the Tehri dam refugees and Kashmiri Pundits are also not the ruling Brahmins as the Centre and state governments represented. In the same manner all those minister, chief ministers, MPs, MLAs and Officials engaged in the pwersecution of enslaved communities are not dalits, tribals or Muslims as they have identified themselves with the brahmins.
The cast system dived the society and ensured the Brahminical hegemony in such a refined manner with surgical precision that any resistance whatsoever is immuned immmediately. For example, we may see the legacy of the resistance by the Indian Peasantry which is crushed everytime. then, comes the Nationality Identies which further engulf the social implications as irrespective of caste and religion, they have to surrender to the centralised brahminical rule. We may see it in entire North East, in Kashmir, in Uttaranchal and all over the tribal parts of the subcontinent. While the Nationalities are enslaved in a colonial set up of exploitation. As the set up is well represented in light of globalisation and neoliberal policies which transforms the entire Rural India a hunting ground. All political parties, Left as well as right , are engaged in the persecution of the underprevileged and margianlised people. So all the anti people Acts are enacted and the Parliamentary soap opera is reduced into a Ramp show exposing lot of skin! SEZ, PCPIR, MIR, Retail Chain, chemical hub and Big dams and so called capitalist system are introduced to defend the Imperialist as well as the Brahminical interstes!
I never knew the caste based discrimanation while residing and working in North India as my origin was unknown to me also. My people the Bengali dalit refugees rehabiliated or resettled all over the country never pressed for Reservation or quota as they felt at home in the new geopolitics liberated fro caste discrimibnation. They were under educated and were not seeking govt jobs. Once they jumped into the arena of Job Market, immediately they faced the heat of the Barhminical hegemony. Once your identity is exposed as a dalit and you don`t have the previlege of reservation or quota, all doors and windows for life and livelihood closed for you. Because the garded inequality ensures the supremacy of Brahmins as a caste intact and middle castes particularly the shudras have the share. Thus, not Brahmins actively but the middlecasts and the shudras in particular are most instrumental in persecution of Dalit outcastes, tribals and minorities. thus , the three percent Population of Brahmins rules the subcontinent including India, Bangladesh,Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and Srilanka! For me Mussaraff and Benzir, Hasina and Khalida, Koirala and chandrika all are the Brahmin rulers of the Enslaved majority population.
Going back to history all these non Brahmin non zionist communities are the Black Untouchable aborigins! The globe is now a village and despite the so called Panchayat Raj, Regional Development and decentralistion- key point of colonisation happens to be deindustrialisation in the name of Capitalist development.
I believe unti and unless we break the false Myths and come to addressthe historical reality we may not cahange the society. Since the society is not going to cahnge in near future we have to ensure eqaul opportunities for the enslaved outcaste communities. This Nation is bearing Brahminical hegemony for thousands and thousands years and Reservation dates back only to 1950.Why the Nation is not redy to accomodate the weakest and deprived and persecuted majority population? Thats Because the enslaved people themselves fail to distinguish between Myth and reality. We Indians, the aborigin black untouchables suffer from dementia and personality disorder. Otherwise as a Kumayooni or Garwali you ahve to feel the identity of Uttarakhandi Persecuted nationality for such a long legacy. The Brahminical system has given you a state but further colonised you and you as a nationality are less than a tribal or a Muslimor a Dalit. But due to nonawakening and dementia, majority of Indian Nationalities don`t relise and feel their uprooted roots and never do identify themselves with Nmajority dalits, tribals and minorites. This situation is hightened in entire Himalayn Zone from kashmir to Nagaland and Manipur where the nationalities are isolated, supressed and annihilated as they don`t try to recognise the mainstream of the enslaved majority and provides an opportunity to kil themselves surrendering to the Brahminical political and military might alligned with the Galaxy Hindu Zionist Order almighty.
I am sorry taht i hurt some of my friend s as I am not an Intellect as par as Karl Marx or Dr ambedkar! Only what I feel is that a national dalit movement and a worldwide Dalit Black antiimperialist Resistance may change this World of inherent inequality and injustice. Absent of either the national dalit Movement or the Global Black Dalit Resistance would mean complete destruction of Man and Nature!
In 1936, Ambedkar had declared, “Unfortunately for me I was born a Hindu untouchable. It was beyond my power to prevent that, but I declare that it is within my power to refuse to live under ignoble and humiliating conditions. I solemnly assure you that I will not die a Hindu” [Jaffrelot]. In 1956, he led a mass conversion of Dalits into Buddhism.
But all religions do enhance the Brahminical Hegmony this or that way. Purohit is replaced by Maulavi or Rabbi or Padri or Monk or Lamma. The Brahminical system previls. Thus, I never feel that any conversion would change the feudal colonial scenerio worldwide! At least as remaining in Hindu we may lodge our protest, but converting to other faith deprives you of that opportunity. And mind you this democratic set up is nothing to do with Hindutva Rather the aborigin black Untouchables sustain this democracy in religion which is demolished by Brahminical Hindutva forces. The antiimperialist agenda should begin with resistance of all these anti people anti nature Hindutva zionist forces along with the fundamental islamor other religious forces responsible for War, Trouble, Hate, Apartheid and Untouchability! It is important to note that Dr. Ambedkar did not disdain all tradition. Rather, he chose to selectively promote those traditions that provide support for rationalism and scientific temper. He said, “my social philosophy may be said to be enshrined in three words: liberty, equality and fraternity. Let no one however say that I have borrowed my philosophy from the French Revolution. I have not. My philosophy has its roots in religion and not in political science. I have derived them from the teachings of my master, the Buddha.” The day before his conversion, Ambedkar underlined his connection to Indian tradition, “Buddhism is part and parcel of Bharatiya culture. I have taken care that my conversion will not harm the tradition of the culture and history of this land.”
Bhimrao Ramji ‘Babasaheb’Ambedkar was one of the greatest leaders that India has ever produced. Ambedkar and his ideas provide inspiration, dignity, and a practical way forward for millions of the most oppressed people in India.
In Dr. Ambedkar’s view, an Enlightenment world view, emphasizing reason and a scientific-technological outlook was fundamentally emancipatory in nature, since it provided a means to challenge oppressive traditions and religious dogma. This was diametrically opposed to Gandhi’s Hind Samaj world view. A comparison below of how the two understood the meaning of ‘civilization’ highlights the stark contrast between them.
Gandhi in Hind Swaraj] Civilization is that mode of conduct which points out to man the path of duty. Performance of duty and observance of morality are convertible terms. To observe morality is to attain mastery over our mind and our passions. So doing, we know ourselves. The Gujarati equivalent for civilization means “good conduct”. If this definition be correct, then India … has nothing to learn from anybody else… We notice that the mind is a restless bird; the more it gets the more it wants, and still remains unsatisfied. The more we indulge our passions the more unbridled they become. Our ancestors therefore set a limit to our indulgences. They saw that happiness was largely a mental condition. A man is not necessarily happy because he is rich or unhappy because he is poor. .... Millions will always remain poor. Observing all this, our ancestors dissuaded us from luxuries and pleasures. We have managed with the same kind of plough as existed thousands of years ago. We have retained the same kind of cottages that we had in former times and our indigenous education remains the same as before. We have had no system of life-corroding competition. Each followed his own occupation or trade and charged a regulation wage.
[Ambedkar] In Gandhism, the common man has no hope. It treats man as an animal and no more. It is true that man shares the constitution and functions of animals, nutritive, reproductive, etc. But these are not distinctively human functions. The distinctively human function is reason, the purpose of which is to enable man to observe, meditate, cogitate, study and discover the beauties of the Universe and enrich his life. … The conclusion that follows is that … the ultimate goal of man’s existence is not reached unless and until he has fully cultivated his mind. … How then can a life of culture be made possible? It is not possible unless there is sufficient leisure. ... The problem of all problems which human society has to face is how to provide leisure to every individual. … Leisure means the lessening of the toil and effort necessary for satisfying the physical wants of life. … Leisure is quite impossible unless some means are found whereby the toil required for producing goods necessary to satisfy human needs is lessened. What can lessen such toil? Only when machines take the place of man. ... Machinery and modern civilization are thus indispensable for emancipating man from leading the life of a brute, and for providing him with leisure and making a life of culture possible. … A democratic society must assure a life of leisure and culture to each one of its citizens. … The slogan of a democratic society must be machinery, and more machinery, civilization and more civilization. Under Gandhism the common man must keep on toiling ceaselessly for a pittance and remain a brute. In short, Gandhism with its call of back to nature, means back to nakedness, back to squalor, back to poverty and back to ignorance for the vast mass of the people.
While Gandhi did fight against untouchability, he defended the varnashrama dharma (the system of four varnas or castes), insisting that untouchability was only an unfortunate corruption of an otherwise sound system (towards the end of his life, Gandhi did make a few statements against the caste system itself). Gandhi’s approach towards untouchables was patronizing. As V.S. Naipaul put it, they were “Harijans, children of God, people for whom good things might be done, objects of sentiment and a passing piety”. Ambedkar, on the other hand, called for outright annihilation of the entire caste system, and called upon Dalits to stand up for their rights as human beings. Ambedkar also rejected the Gandhian vision of an idyllic Ram Rajya made up of peaceful and contended village communities. He declared, “The love of the intellectual Indians for the village community is of course infinite if not pathetic. ... What is the village but a sink of localism, a den of ignorance, narrow mindedness, and communalism?”
    Thanks!
    faithfully yours only

In India, where religion is all-pervasive, it was a comment destined to misfire. The Union Culture Ministry has slapped a notice on the Archaeological Survey of India, seeking an explanation on the retention of controversial portions of the affidavit filed by the ASI on the Ram Sethu in the Supreme Court ...

The Dravidar Kazhagam, the DMK`s parent body, Saturday announced demonstrations against withdrawal of the centre`s affidavit in the supreme court on the Sethusamudram project, even as the BJP and Sangh Parivar outfits are continuing protests against it.
Breaking his silence on the controversy over the Centre's initial stand in the Supreme Court on the Sethusamudram project, DMK President M Karunanidhi has endorsed the first affidavit that there was no historical proof of the existence of Lord Ram or Ramsetu.
"There is no historical proof for the existence of Lord Ram or the bridge. AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa has filed a case against the demolition of so-called Ramsetu. The government will face the case," the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister said late on Saturday night while laying the foundation for various projects.
DMK is the prime mover of the Sethusamudram project in the UPA government and parties in Tamil Nadu passionately argue for it.
Karunanidhi charged BJP and AIADMK with attempting to break the alliance between his party and PMK but said such attempts would not succeed as both the parties were "real Dravidian parties."
"PMK and DMK are Dravidian parties, which cannot allow these sort of stories and we will fight for the project till the end," Karunanidhi said.
AIADMK and BJP in their manifestos had said that if they came to power, they would complete the Sethusamudram project, he pointed out.
"But now they are opposing it", Karunanidhi said.
On the other hand, former Kerala minister and chief of the state Janata Dal(S) (Gowda faction) unit, A Neelalohithadasan Nadar, will join the Bahujan Samaj Party with his supporters. Addressing a press meet in Thiruvananthapuram, Nadar said the merger meeting will be held there on October 6.
"The new party will strive to break a new path in Kerala's politics that has so far remained polarised largely between the CPI(M) led LDF and Congress-led UDF," he said.
The party's ideological plank will be social justice and communal harmony, Nadar said. BSP General Secretary Suresh Mane will preside over the the merger convention.
UP sets up panel to recommend ways to clear pending cases in HC
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has constituted a high level committee to recommend ways and measures to clear up the pending cases in the high courts and other judiciary of the state.
Menwhile, RJD, a key UPA ally, on Saturday favoured reservation for the Dalits among Muslims and other minority communities and 10 per cent quota for the poor among the upper castes in an apparent effort to enlarge its votebank amidst talk of early polls. Though RJD chief Lalu Prasad brushed aside possibility of an imminent mid-term poll, he told reporters at the end of the party's National Executive meeting here that though no MP would want an early election, his party was always ready to face the electorate. RJD, which lost power in Bihar in the assembly polls two years ago despite winning over two dozen Lok Sabha seats in 2004, will hold a " Chetavni ” rally in Patna on October 28 to protest against law and order situation in the state, he said.
The Bihar government has ordered a CID probe into the lynching of 10 nomadic tribes, suspected to be thieves, in Delhpurwa village under Rajapakar police station of Vaishali district on Thursday.
BANGALORE: Taking exception to the plans by some Dalit organisations to hold a convention to oppose transfer of power to the BJP in the State, Dalit leaders of the BJP have decided to hold a counter convention.
Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, BJP MLA for Mudigere and Dalit leader, M.P. Kumaraswamy, said the convention would be organised soon at Palace Grounds here. He claimed that the party would ensure that close to 10 lakh people attend the proposed convention.
Some of the Dalit organisations had termed the BJP as anti-Dalit and argued that power should not be transferred to it. Taking exception to this, Mr. Kumaraswamy said it was wrong to think that the party was anti-Dalit. The fact that the highest number of Dalit MLAs (16) had been elected on the BJP ticket was a pointer to the party’s pro-Dalit stand, he claimed.
Oust Narendra Modi at all costs’ was the one-point agenda at a gigantic farmers’ convention in which several BJP dissidents held centrestage along with Congress stalwarts here on Friday.
Rajkot:“All the farmers have come here on their own because they are frustrated and fed up with Modi and his government’s anti-farmer policies and stands,” said Vitthal Radadia, kisan leader and Congress MLA from Saurashtra. Radadia was the man behind the mega farmer convention and its success in terms of the big attendance.
“The state government doesn’t have even a tiny piece of land to give to a poor farmer. But it magnanimously gives acres to industrialists.
The previous government used to give 42 per cent electricity to the farmers. Modi reduced it to 27 per cent and gave the remaining 15 per cent to industrialists,” said Radadia.
Leading BJP dissident and home minister in the previous BJP government during the Godhra riots Gordhan Zadaphia said: “Modi has committed so many sins on the hallowed land of Mahatma Gandhi’s origins that all those who vote against him in the coming Assembly elections will earn a lot of punya. Women are raped and killed by the day while he keeps boasting that they are the most protected lot in Gujarat.”
For the new India and its booming economy, the idea seemed eminently sensible: dredge a shipping channel between India and the nearby island of Sri Lanka, cutting voyages between the subcontinent's coasts by up to 30 hours. What could religion possibly have to do with it? The controversy over the Ram Setu affidavit took a new turn on Saturday with Union Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh stating that he would have resigned if he had been the Cultural Minister owning moral responsibility. Soni, however, retorted that she was not Jairam and added,” I will not take even a minute to relinquish my post if my leaders ask me to do so."
India's government said it was putting on hold its bid to dredge a crucial shipping lane after being accused of blasphemy by Hindu activists who argue the project will damage a sacred site.Government is now talking about respect for Hinduism. The Union Culture Minister has also ordered an inquiry on the Ram Setu affidavit issue. On the other hand, the US State Department on Saturday reported deterioration in religious freedom in India and cited cases of organised societal attacks against minority groups in the country.
Noting that a vast majority of citizens of all religions lived in peaceful co-existence in India, the Bush administration also said that whenever there were attacks against minority religious groups, the state police and enforcement agencies often did not act swiftly enough to effectively counter such attacks.
"The Constitution (of India) provides for freedom of religion and the National Government generally respected this right in practice," the State Department said in its annual International Religious Freedom Report released on Friday.
Mandated by the US Congress to present an annual report on religious freedom around the world, the administration also speaks of terrorist violence and 'atrocities' against certain sections of people, including the Kashmiri Pandits, while pointing out that terrorists attempted to provoke inter-religious conflict by detonating bombs.
"Some state and local governments, including those of Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh enacted or amended 'anti-conversion' laws during the reporting period. The Governor of Rajasthan, later elected to the Presidency, refused to sign her state's law, effectively nullifying it," the report cited.
"The vast majority of citizens of every religious group lived in peaceful co-existence; however, there were reports of organised societal attacks against minority religious groups. State police and enforcement agencies often did not act swiftly enough to effectively counter societal attacks," the report said.
Pakistan: Although the government has taken some steps to improve treatment of religious minorities, "discriminatory legislation and the government's failure to take action against societal forces hostile to those who practice minority faiths fostered religious intolerance, acts of violence, and intimidation against followers of certain religious groups."
Iraq: The report says religious freedom has sharply deteriorated in Iraq over the past year because of the insurgency and violence targeting people of specific faiths, despite the US military buildup intended to improve security.
The report found the violence is not confined to the well-known rivalry between Sunni and Shia Muslims. "The ongoing insurgency significantly harmed the ability of all religious believers to practise their faith," it said.
It found that members of all religions in Iraq are "victims of harassment, intimidation, kidnapping, and killings" and that "frequent sectarian violence included attacks on places of worship."
Muslims who practise less-strict versions of their faith suffer because "conservative and extremist Islamic elements exert tremendous pressure on society to conform to their interpretations of Islam's precepts," the report said.
Afghanistan: "Decades of war, years of Taliban rule, and weak democratic institutions, including a developing judiciary, have contributed to intolerance manifested in acts of harassment and violence against reform-minded Muslims and religious minorities."
Saudi Arabia: In a country where faiths other than Islam are illegal, which usually comes in for harsh criticism on lack of religious freedom, the report noted some positive progress.
"While overall government policies continue to place severe restrictions on religious freedom, there were some improvements in specific areas during the period covered by this report," it said, noting nascent moves that "could lead to important improvements in the future."
Uma`s party to contest Gujarat polls

Bhopal, Sept 15: Bhartiya Jan Shakti party will contest the coming assembly elections in Gujarat on its own on Hindutva issue to ''break the BJP's ego'', party's founder-president Uma Bharti said here today.
Briefing reporters after the party's national executive committee meeting, she said earlier the party was hesitant to foray into Gujarat, but a decision on contesting the poll was taken following a report submitted by the party's Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan state heads after touring the state.
Report on `secret killing` in Assembly

Guwahati, Sept 15: The Assam government will table the K N Saikia Commission report on 'secret killings' in the next session of the State Assembly, government spokesman said.
The commission has probed the charges of 'secret killing' during the erstwhile AGP regime led by Prafula Kumar Mahanta, government spokesman Himanta Biswa Sarma said.
He said that the Nalbari police station Officer-in-Charge had been placed under suspension after the death of Sabitri Rajbonshi, mother of an ULFA militant, during a police search operation last week in Nalbari district. He said cases had been registered against two surrendered ULFA men.
Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has already announced payment of Rs 3 lakh to the Rajbonshi family.

Under fire from her own colleagues over the Sethusamudram affidavit blunder Culture Minister Ambika Soni has said she will resign if the Prime Minister or Sonia Gandhi want her to do so.This is after Minister of State for Commerce Jairam Ramesh said he would have resigned if he had been in her place.
''If I were the Culture Minister, I would have resigned immediately. If Lal Bahadur Shastri could resign after a train accident in 1956, then when there has been such an error with a sensitive affidavit, and the feelings of the people have been hurt, I feel the minister should resign,'' said Jairam Ramesh.
But at the same time the minister held the Additional Solicitor General responsible for the final affidavit that said there is no historical proof of Lord Ram's existence.
Meanwhile, two officials of the Archaeological Survey of India have been suspended for not making the changes, she had suggested in the draft. And with Soni ordering a probe into the blunder more heads are likely to roll.Ambika Soni had earlier met Sonia Gandhi to explain what went wrong.
With the Centre actively engaging itself in a major damage control exercise over the Ram Setu controversy, Union Culture Minister Ambika Soni is under tremendous pressure with her own ministerial colleagues now demanding her resignation over the fiasco.

The Centre had on Friday withdrawn two affidavits from the Supreme Court, including the one which said there was no scientific evidence to establish the existence of Lord Ram and the Ramar Setu.

The government also suspended two senior ASI officials, including a director and an assistant director, over the controversy.

Within the Congress, hard politicking is on and Soni could just become the scapegoat if the party needs. Her ministerial colleague Jairam Ramesh indicated that he would want her to resign.

"I cannot speak on behalf of Ambika Soni who is a senior colleague and a good friend of mine. But had I been a Cabinet Minister and had this happened, I would have certainly resigned," he said.
Soni says her ministry was not responsible for the contentious affidavit that proclaimed Lord Ram to be a myth. She, however, she's ready to accept the responsibility and make the 'ultimate sacrifice' (read, resign) if the Prime Minister and the party high command want her to do so

At the same time, Soni reiterates that an amendment made by her ministry had not been incorporated in the affidavit.

Soni, in fact, claims that the Culture Ministry was not responsible for the controversial affidavit on the Ram Setu, which the government had submitted in the Supreme Court earlier this week, sparking off huge protests from the BJP and various Hindu organisations.

Speaking at a press conference, she said the draft of the affidavit came from the Additional Solicitor General and she had made three amendments to it. One of these amendments was not incorporated. The ASI did not prepare the affidavit, she claims.
On Friday, the government withdrew its affidavits and told the Supreme Court it would like to review the Sethusamudram project so that the Ram Setu will not be disturbed.

The government's latest stand on the Sethusamudram ship canal project cast a fatal shadow over the entire Rs 2300 crore scheme when it told the Supreme Court today that it would set up a mechanism to hear all parties before it proceeds further. The affidavit of the ASI that Ramayan is a work of fiction has stirred the hornet’s nest. Congress is embarrassed. BJP is gearing up to take up the issue, appeal to the Hindutva sentiments, as mid-term elections seem to be a possibility. Denying that Ram Sethu or Adam’s Bridge is a man-made structure, the ASI argued that ’Ramcharitmanas’ by Tulsidas cannot be taken as a historical record. The ASI filed the affidavit in response to three petitions, transferred from the Madras High Court to the apex court, challenging the government’s decision to construct the Sethusamudram Canal Project on the Tamil Nadu coast.
The government will re-examine the Sethusamudram project so that the Ram Setu is not disturbed and has been given three months by the Supreme Court to do so.
The government has also withdrawn a controversial affidavit that said there is no historical proof of Lord Ram's existence.
The Centre said in a fresh affidavit that it never meant to cast aspersions on any faith.
The affidavit says: ''The government has total respect for all religions and Hinduism in particular in the context of present case. The government is alive and conscious of religious sensibilities, including the unique ancient and holy t

India skipper Rahul Dravid has asked to be relieved of the captaincy ahead of the forthcoming one-day cricket series against Australia. We should feel grateful to Mr Dependable as nobody in this part of World seems to be interested to give up leadrship in any sphere of life. Thus, for thousand and thousands years the Manusmriti based Untouchability, graded inequality sustain to maintain Brahminical Hegemony on mythological ground and the Ruling Class puts everything on stake to defend the false legacy of Myth denying the hard real facts!Islamophobia remains the best capital for US Imperilais as well as Brahminical hegemony in this subcontinent. Sri Rama is the mobilation factor as well as the State Power annihilating other nationiltyidenties! Thus, India has adopted a three-pronged strategy, including stepping-up operations against Muslim rebels, to end a deadly insurgency in Kashmir, New Delhi's top representative says. Mind you, Armed forces Special Power Act is the continuous phenemenon to curb entire North East.
Would the World Bank slave prime minister take some inspiration from Rahul Dravid? We know well the dilemma of Indian colonial polity as after more than three years of political stability under a Congress-led government, India is bracing itself for the possibility of early elections. Fierce opposition to the controversial Indo-US nuclear deal on the part of the government's communist allies has in effect reduced the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) to a minority government. The Left parties insist that the deal, which aims to lift a three-decade US ban on sales of nuclear fuel and reactors to India, would compromise India's sovereignty and prevent it from pursuing an independent foreign policy.
NRIs and MNC interests decide everything in India. Thus, they pose as the conscience of the Nation as the Brahminical judiciray and Media also pose. US intersts have to be defended at all cost. Since a strategic regroupin with US lead combined with japan and Israel completes the Zionist brahminical viscious circle, Information Explosion justify most the genocides and persecution! President George W. Bush sits at his desk in the Oval Office of the White House in Washington, DC after a prime-time speech discussing the war in Iraq, 13 September 2007. Bush has defended plans for a limited draw-down of US forces from Iraq, one day after a White House report undercut claims of security and political progress there.
India's image as an investment destination would not be sullied if the civil nuclear deal with the US falls apart, NRI business tycoon Lord Swraj Paul has said.On the other hand, Keen to develop the infrastructure in the North East States, India today said that a trilateral highway connecting the north-east part of the country with Myanmar and Thailand will be mutually beneficial for everyone.
India beat Pakistan in dramatic bowl out! It is once again a cricket carnival on fire with raging blind Hindu Superpower nationality which is well encashed by the Post modern galaxy Manusmriti order run fro the Oval Office!
The divided geopolitics is colonised and dehumanised further with Zionist Brahminical white hegemony continuing Divide and rule legacy and annihilating the enslaved black Untouchables, dalits, tribals, refugees and minorities Worldwide! The United States has once again declined to treat Pakistan at par with India on the issue of nuclear energy for civilian purposes. The US side had made it clear that Pakistan and India could not be treated equally on the nuclear issue, and Islamabad should not insist on it, a source said.
Indian psyche is always overjoyed winning Pakistan even in an event of sports nonconsequential. Latest political crisis in Pakistan as well as Bangladesh on the on hand and Nepal and Srilanka on the other, is seen as enhancing the Hindu superpower profile! Meanwhile, the indefinite fast undertaken by the Tamil Nationalist Movement leader P Nedumaran, seeking permission from the Centre to send relief material to Sri Lankan Tamils, is receiving more and more support from political parties and Tamil nationalist groups. On the other hand,Bangladesh is seeking the cooperation of the global atomic watchdog to set up nuclear power plants in the country to overcome its "chronic power shortage" after Dhaka recently sought the support of Russia for the project. India's foreign minister insisted his country would not interfere in the affairs of others as pressure mounted on New Delhi take a position on a recent crackdown in military-ruled Myanmar.
India beat Pakistan 3-0 in a dramatic five-ball bowl-out at three stumps after their Twenty20 World Cup match ended in a tie on Friday. Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Robin Uthappa hit the stumps in the bowl-out while Pakistan trio Yasir Arafat, Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi all missed. Earlier, Uthappa top-scored with 50 as India totalled 141 for nine after being put in to bat.
Nearly 13.5 million people have been marooned or displaced by floods in India and Bangladesh, officials said. The Dravidar Kazhagam, the DMK`s parent body, Saturday announced demonstrations against withdrawal of the centre`s affidavit in the supreme court on the Sethusamudram project, even as the BJP and Sangh Parivar outfits are continuing protests against it.
The CPM on Saturday said the Left would set a "time-frame" for the government to complete evaluation of concerns over the Indo-US nuclear civilian deal and implications of the Hyde Act after its meeting with the UPA on September 19.
"The real work (on studying the implications of nuclear agreement) is yet to start. We will discuss the identified issues in the next meeting and the time-frame can be decided then," CPM General Secretary Prakash Karat told reporters in Hyderabad. He said the first round of the UPA-Left Committee meeting on September 11 had identified the agenda for discussions at the next meeting. He said the Left parties had asked the government not to proceed with operationalising the agreement till all the objections and implications of Hyde Act, the US legislation related to the deal, were properly evaluated. "Let us see what findings will come out," he said. Asked whether he foresaw possibility of early polls, Karat, whose party is providing outside support to the UPA government, said "I cannot answer that question. I do not know. All I can say is that we want the committee to look into all the aspects and implications of the deal." He also hoped the UPA government would "reconsider all the issues" which the Left parties, who are vehemently opposed to the atomic deal in its present form, would raise during the coming discussions.

In Bangkok, with an aim of pushing India`s `Look East` policy, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee today asked the heads of missions in the region to work for promoting further the strategic engagement with South East Asian countries, particularly in security, trade and economic fields. On a three-day visit here, Mukherjee chaired a day-long conference of heads of missions of South East ASIAN and pacific countries, outlining the priorities and challenges before the diplomacy in its endeavour to promote India`s interests. He underlined the need for intensification of partnership with Asean and other regional groupings and promotion of Indian economic environment to encourage export of its goods and services. This cooperation focuses on areas like maritime security and counter-terrorism which are of vital interest to security of states as well as commerce through sea lanes in the region, Mukherjee said.
Promotion of inter-regional integration and utilisation of regional trade arrangements for investment was also stressed by the minister as he noted India`s increasing Noting that the international order has seen a "profound structural transformation", Mukherjee said in view of that India`s foreign policy has had to "reformulate its priorities.
A significant aspect of this cooperation with East Asian countries, both bilaterally and through multi-lateral institutions like Asean regional forum, has been the growing collaboration on security issues fostered through practical measures, he said.

US President George W. Bush on Saturday defended plans for a limited draw-down of US forces from Iraq, one day after a White House report undercut claims of security and political progress there. In his weekly radio address, Bush said the US commander in Iraq, General David Petraeus, and the US ambassador to Baghdad, Ryan Crocker, said US-led troops face "formidable challenges" to stabilizing the war-torn country.
"Yet they also said that security conditions are improving, that our forces are seizing the initiative from the enemy, and that the troop surge is working," he said, referring to his January military escalation. As a result, he said, some 5,700 US troops will come home by Christmas, and the number of combat brigades will drop from 20 to 15 -- a fall of about 21,500 combat troops -- by mid-2008.
"The more successful we are, the more troops can return home," said Bush, whom critics have accused of portraying a a slightly hastened version of the way that the "surge" had been scheduled to end as a new policy.
The unpopular president, whose Iraq strategy faces almost two-to-one opposition in major opinion polls, warned that a hasty US withdrawal there would have costly repercussions for US national security.
An al-Qaida front group warned it will hunt down and kill Sunni Arab tribal leaders who cooperate with the U.S. and its Iraqi partners, saying the assassination of the leader of the revolt against the terror movement was just a beginning.
A roadside bomb blast and clashes between soldiers and secessionist Tamil Tiger guerrillas across Sri Lanka's volatile north killed 29 people, the military said Saturday.
Recent talks between a U.S.-led team of nuclear experts and North Korea were "businesslike" and "positive," an official said Saturday, raising hopes for a deal soon on how to disable the North's nuclear facilities.
Iran's interior minister said China renewed its support Friday for negotiations over his country's disputed nuclear activities, and he warned that new U.N. sanctions could force Tehran to adopt "other means."
Demobilized soldiers rioted at a retraining center in northeastern China overnight, the latest in a series of apparently coordinated protests against living conditions, a teacher and a human rights monitoring group said Friday.
Pakistan's ruling party assured President Gen. Pervez Musharraf he will be elected to a new five-year term, top officials said Saturday, and the vote will likely take place the first week of October.

An announcement on the date from the Election Commission is imminent, the officials said Saturday ? a day after opposition leader Benazir Bhutto's party announced she would return to Pakistan on Oct. 18. after an eight-year exile to help restore democracy.
"As far as the ruling party is concerned, we have finalized our strategy to elect the president for another five-year term ... we have enough votes to easily elect President Musharraf for another term," said Azeem Chaudhry, a senior official in the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Q party.
Two ruling party officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue, said the vote would take place in the first week of October, ignoring the suggestion of Bhutto, who wanted Musharraf to seek a vote from the new Parliament after the parliamentary elections.

With Benazir Bhutto's exile coming to an end, the question being asked upon her return to Pakistan is whether she will be returning as General Musharraf's ally or rival. In the present volatile political scenario, the very fact that Bhutto has chosen to return before finalising an agreement with the president proves that the Pakistan Peoples Party is not ruling out either option.
''PPP has its own course to follow. General Musharraf and the government have their own course to follow. If the agreement on the democratization process is not arrived, then the General goes his way and we go our way,'' said Farhatullah Babar, Spokesperson, PPP.
Government officials and PPP leaders however insist that the power sharing deal between General Musharraf and Benazir Bhutto is in trouble.
Bhutto's decision to return after the upcoming Presidential elections indicates that she has some understanding with the General and will not obstruct his re-election if he contests as a civilian candidate.
In return the government has announced that Bhutto unlike her adversary Nawaz Sharif will be allowed to return.
Bhutto who faces corruption charges needs Musharraf as much as he needs her to bail him out of the political crises.

Norman Solomon writes in his article Six Years of 9/11 as a License to Kill:
It evokes a tragedy that marks an epoch. From the outset, the warfare state has exploited "9/11," a label at once too facile and too laden with historic weight -- giving further power to the tacit political axiom that perception is reality.
Often it seems that media coverage is all about perception, especially when the underlying agendas are wired into huge profits and geopolitical leverage. If you associate a Big Mac or a Whopper with a happy meal or some other kind of great time, you're more likely to buy it. If you connect 9/11 with a need for taking military action and curtailing civil liberties, you're more likely to buy what the purveyors of war and authoritarian government have been selling for the past half-dozen years.
What happened on Sept. 11, 2001, was extraordinary and horrible by any measure. And certainly a crime against humanity. At the same time, it was a grisly addition to a history of human experience that has often included many thousands killed, en masse, by inhuman human choice.
It is simply and complexly a factual matter that the U.S. government has participated in outright mass murders directly -- in, for example, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Panama, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq -- and less directly, through aid to armies terrorizing civilians in Nicaragua, Angola, East Timor and many other countries.
The news media claim to be providing context. But whose? Overall, the context of Uncle Sam in the more perverse and narcissistic aspects of his policy personality. The hypocrisies of claims about moral precepts and universal principles go beyond the mere insistence that some others "do as we say, not as we do." What gets said, repeated and forgotten sets up kaleidoscope patterns that can be adjusted to serve the self-centered mega-institutions reliably fixated on maintaining their own dominance.
Media manifestations of these patterns are frequently a mess of contradictions so extreme that they can only be held together with the power of ownership, advertising and underwriting structures -- along with notable assists from government agencies that dispense regulatory favors and myriad pressure to serve what might today be called a military-industrial -media complex. Our contact with the world is filtered through the mesh of mass media to such a great extent that the mesh itself becomes the fabric of power.
The most repetitious lessons of 9/11 -- received and propagated by the vast preponderance of U.S. news media -- have to do with the terribly asymmetrical importance of grief and of moral responsibility. Our nation is so righteous that we are trained to ask for whom the bell tolls. Rendered as implicitly divisible, humanity is fractionated as seen through red-white-and- blue windows on the world.

    Military Analysis
Why Officers Differ on Troop Reduction

WASHINGTON, Sept. 13 - The view of the way forward in Iraq that President Bush articulated on Thursday night was the same one that Gen. David H. Petraeus, the top American commander in Iraq, has outlined in Washington all week.
It holds that the military effort there is showing signs of success, that too fast a withdrawal would be foolhardy, and that while the future will be difficult and full of setbacks, it is possible to envision that the American strategy will pay off in the future.
But that vision, which defers a firm decision on steeper reductions in the force, remains deeply unpopular to some current and retired officers, who say the White House and its battlefield commander are continuing to strain the troops, with little prospect of long-term success.
It is the second time in 10 months that Mr. Bush has opted for higher troop levels in Iraq than are favored by some of his senior military advisers. Among those who supported a smaller troop increase than the one Mr. Bush ordered last January were members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Now, some of his advisers would prefer setting a faster timetable for drawing the force back down.
    9Nine farmers commit suicide
    15 Sep 2007, 0143 hrs IST ,TNN
NAGPUR: Nine farmers from different parts of Vidarbha, including six from Yavatmal district, have allegedly committed suicide during the last three days, an NGO said on Friday.
The deceased include: Naresh Gomase of Pimpari Ghadge village, Hemraj Gajbhiye of Adgoan-Khaki, Tulsiram Rathod of Waijara, Gajanan Sarule of Kalugoan, Purushottam Meshram of Khairgoan, Piraji Chikne of Tembhi (all Yavatmal district), Mohan Rathod of Khamkhed (Buldana), Santosh Wakudkar of Dhanora (Washim) and Ulhas Rathod of in Devraguda (Chandrapur) , Vidarbha Janandolan Samiti (VJS) president Kishore Tiwari said in a statement.
The VJS said 821 farmers have committed suicide since January 1 this year in Maharashtra's cotton growing region.
Tiwari also alleged that political parties were shedding crocodile tears over the 'insult' of cotton farmers by Union textiles minister Shankersinh Vaghela and chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh. None of the parties are coming out with a solution to redress the hardship of Vidarbha farmers, most of whom are victims of poverty, crop loss and mounting debts, he alleged.
At last,President Bush says he will start pulling some US troops out of Iraq this month because his decision to send reinforcements earlier this year has been a success.
It was after all a false alarm. The hopes of the CBI to get hold of the elusive LTTE fundraiser Kumaran Padmanathan have been dashed.
The development comes in the wake of External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee saying that it was conveyed to the Indian mission in Bangkok that Kumaran has not been detained as reported.
Mukherjee who is on a three-day visit to Thailand, said this in Bangkok on Friday.
Thai Interpol had earlier conveyed to the CBI that there is no immigration record of Kumaran entering Thailand in the last two years.
CBI wants Kumaran as he is believed to be the one who funded the Rajiv Gandhi assassination.
Kumaran is also high on the Interpol's wanted list.

Dear Editor: An Open Letter to Congressional Leaders

    Bush Speaks With Forked Tongue:

The most anti American impeachable administration in the history of the United Sates of America speaks again with a forked tongue?!

Dear Leaders of the Legislators, the Occupant of the White House, has sent up one liar and law breaker after another to disassemble the Congress, confuse and divide the American public, rob our treasury, kill our children and commit genocide world wide. Bush has even given these liars and law breakers Medals of Freedom?? Bush has Betrayed Us All?! What are you going to do about it??

Under illegal signing statements, unconstitutional and immoral declarations, Bush?s rouse has caused the American Middle Class to fall into unprecedented bankruptcy as the children of the American poor have lost their loved ones on the bloody fields of his twisted colonial corporate agenda in the Middle East . Yet it is the House and the House alone that initiates all appropriations bills and has the authority to take our nation into war and has the power to stop this madness. What are you going to do Madame Speaker??

I suggest it is time for the Leaders of the Legislative Branch to listen to Admiral William Fallon, Deputy Attorney General Bruce Fein and the American?s who elected this Legislature to stop this endless war. We must not send one more American hero or spend one more dime for this military industrial complex?s rampage into Iraq or Iran nor on to the streets or into our homes under the traitorous Bush Military Commissions Act.

The only funds that need to be made available are to bring our entire honorable troop?s home where they belong and to clean up the criminal mess that this horrid administration has wrecked on our beloved nation?!

    *JANGAL KO AZAADI DO!*
    *JANGALVASIYON KO SWARAJ DO!*

    *NATIONAL JAIL BHARO ANDOLAN*
*Tens of Thousands Will Court Arrest on October 2nd*
Protests Will Take Place in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamil
    Nadu,
    Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Orissa

On October 2nd , Gandhi Jayanthi, in response to a national call of
    the
Campaign for Survival and Dignity, mass organisations of tribals and
    forest
dwellers will court arrest across the country. Their message will be
    simple:

*Enough is Enough! No More Attacks on Our People, Destruction of Our
Homelands and Sabotage of Our Rights! *

Across India, forest areas are in flames. Evictions in Rajasthan
    continue
and fields are seized for biodiesel plantations. The Chattisgarh
    government
deploys a state sponsored militia ('Salwa Judum') which commits inhuman
atrocities to "cleanse" the forests of people. Armed police in Orissa
continue their standoff with villagers fighting eviction by Posco.
Even the victories that are won are sabotaged by the government. The
    Forest
Rights Act, the biggest step forward in the history of India's forest
communities, was passed last December. But at the last moment key parts
    of
the Act were undermined, and the government has tried to do the same in
    the
Rules. *In the meantime thousands of families have been evicted and
    their
houses destroyed because of the continued failure of the UPA government
    to
notify the Act into force, showing just how serious this government
    actually
    is. *

*The Demands of the Andolan Will Be:*
    *Jangal Ko Azaadi Do!*
    -
Notify the Forest Rights Act Into force immediately
    -
Halt evictions of forest communities immediately
    -
Recognise all genuine forest dependent people and Exclude
    Contractors,
    Traders, and Exploiters
    -
Stop the militarisation and seizure of our lands
    -
Recognise our rights to collect and transport minor forest produce
    -
Halt arbitrary resettlement in the name of wildlife conservation
    -
Make the recognition of rights legally clear ? our rights should not
be taken away by legal manipulation

    *Jangalvasiyon Ko Swaraj Do!*
    -
Empower our communities to defend and protect the forests against
    mafias, the government and companies
    -
Ensure the authority and effectiveness of the real gram sabhas of
    our
    communities in determining rights
    -
Bring all adivasi areas under the Vth Schedule of the Constitution
    and
remove hurdles in implementing the Panchayats (Extension to
    Scheduled Areas)
Act, 1996, which gives us the power to safeguard our resources.
